Another GREAT Week 5

Welcome to week 4 of Another GREAT Week.

Some key dates for all parents to be aware of for next week

Year 10 and 11 Exams 12-16 November

Cup Day made for a short week. The College was very quiet on Monday, with many families obviously taking the opportunity to spend 4 days together. The highlight of this short week has undoubtedly been the success of the Movember celebrations planned by our Year 10 growth classes.

The month of MOVEMBER has certainly been an exciting one so far for our Year 10 Growth students. Through their Growth classes they have planned some fabulous activities. Face painting , fake moustaches  a raffle, a gangman style dancing competition, a movie promoting the Movember cause, a themed free dress day, a sausage sizzle and a bake sale were some of the fantastic activities the Year 10 students planned and delivered. they sold out of raffle tickets and raised in excess of $600. This has been a wonderful learning opportunity through growth. The students have worked and planned in teams then promoted their activities. This has engaged the students from other year levels, and provided them with some fun activities to participate in at lunch time. The main goal, raising money to support Movember and raised awareness of men's health has been a great success. Certainly Mr Cutlwer, Mountford and Ericson have led the way with their rapidly growing moustaches. we thank all staff and students involved for this fantastic experience.

STEP ONE - Register: 

As an individual:

Step 1: Register by entering your details (name, email etc.)

Step 2: Choose the ‘Individual’ option on the following           registration page. You will then be ready to Mo!

How to register a team:

Step 1: Register by entering your details (name, email etc.)

Step 2: Choose the ‘Team Captain (Start a Team)’ option on the following registration page, you will need to have a team name ready.

Step 3: Once registered build your team by asking others to join, there are helpful links to assist you with this in your personal Mo Space page. Remember, the Mo the merrier!

How to join a team:

Step 1: Register by entering your details (name, email etc.)

Step 2: Choose the ‘Team Member (Join a Team)’ option on the following registration page and enter in the team name you wish to join. Then you and your fellow Mo’s will be ready to grow!

STEP TWO – Join the Forest Hill College Network:

When logged onto Movember.com, simply click on the Network link  http://au.movember.com/mospace/network/foresthillcollege

and then click ‘Join this Network’.

                                                                                                                             

Once you have completed your registration you will be taken to your own Mo Space page. This is where you will find all the information you will need to have a fun and successful Movember such as helpful fundraising tips, Movember downloads, posters, Donation Forms and much more!

Remembrance Day

On Friday the College paused to remember the fallen in a moving tribute for Remembrance Day. Sam from Year 10 delivered a tribute she had written and Ed from Year 11 played the Last Post.
