Another Great Week 6

Another big week at FHC.........

World Maths Day and World Spelling Day were participated in during this week, with many year 7-9 students accessing these activities online. Our year 7-9 students took advantage of their 1:1 device and all participated in online spelling and maths competitions versus other students from around the globe.

On Tuesday our student leaders attended a conference on leadership where they developed the skills to write proposals to support initiatives they are keen to implement. We have allready received our first proposal.

Our 2012 professional conversations began on Thursday afternoon in PL, and Collegitae teams met to begin aligning individual goals with our AIP.

Year 7 camp arrived upon us and on Wednesday our year 7 students and staff boarded their buses and departed for Camp Manyung.
The students always enjoy the wide range of challenging and fun activities this camp offers. This year, the number of fish coming out out on the end of year 7 student's fishing lines left many wondering if there will be any fish left in the bay at all.
Peer support students visited camp on Thursday. This is always a highlight for both the year 10 and year 7 students.
Thanks to all our staff who contributed to make this such a great experience for the students. A lot of planning goes into running this camp and we really appreciate the efforts many of our staff made to make this camp a great success.

Tours continued and we are definitely getting a steady stream of families coming in to look at the College.
Intermediate sport was held on Friday and our students participated in baseball and tennis.

This weeks PL clip is a video of the differentiaition "guru" Carol Tomlinson discussing her definition of differentiation.
