Week 4 - A shorter week packed full of activity

The POR interview process was carried out on schedule throughout the week. The interviews were conducted as you would conduct them for an external position following the merit and equity procedures. They were a great professional learning opportunity for all involved - both applicants and panel members alike.

The week began with the Arts domain meeting to plan their revised curriculum for 2012. Further opportunities for curriculum development work in domains will occur throughout the rest of 2012.

On Wednesday Jenny met with Year 9 students for lunch to discuss their views on their learning. During period 4 Year 11 students had their last English performance for the year. Domain meetings continued their work on scope and sequence.

The VCAA exams began in earnest on Thursday morning, starting with the English and ESL exams. Whilst our current Year 12 students were commencing their last secondary school activity, our Year 11 students began their final steps towards Year 12 2012. The Year 11s have started individual interviews to finalise course selections, address issues and set directions. 9C continued their intergenerational journey at Strathdon during period 4.

During lunchtime on Friday the intergenerational choir continued the rehearsals with the Strathdon residents. The day finished with the Sports Leaders continuing their endeavours coaching Parkmore Primary School students.
