Week 7 - Spring begins

The South Street Music Competition began in full 'swing' on Tuesday. The keen musicians leave at 6.00am in the morning and arrive back at FHC at 5.45pm in the evening. This was followed by an epic Wednesday with students returning at 11.00pm. The musical adventure continued on Thursday and Friday.

During Tuesday and Wednesday Year 11 and Year 12 ESL students attended the Melbourne Immigration Museum.

Wednesday was a big successful evening. The debaters from Year 9 competed in their latest state final. Whilst the Year 7 debating class had their first debate. The journey and endeavours of the debating teams continue. Parents and staff had a highly informative cybersafety presentation.

Thursday saw the 9B Intergenerational Project continue and on Friday the Intergenerational choir continued their work with Strafdon and Parkmore Primary School students. The efforts of the 10B Geography class on Thursday raised $275 in their efforts to raise money for the East Africa Food Crisis Appeal.

Numeracy and Literacy Week provided many opportunities for students to participate in various activities. Culminating with major events on Friday - the 24 Game and students & staff dressing up as a book character.
